Partnership for Pastoral Counseling is a non-profit group helping people throughout Western North Carolina. We work with doctors, ministers, school officials and other referrers to counsel those who are troubled, have no mental health insurance or have limited financial resources.

Pastoral counseling is a form of therapy or counseling in which a pastoral counselor uses the insights and principles of religion, theology, and modern behavioral sciences in working with individuals, couples, families, groups, and institutions toward the achievement of wholeness and health.

Who We Serve

• A senior citizen living with depression and loneliness

• A parent worried about a child

• A woman struggling with her faith as she considers ending an abusive marriage

• A teenager struggling for acceptance from his peers while grappling with moral issues

• A young man searching for forgiveness from God and others after a tragic mistake

• A couple trying to keep their marriage together

• Men, women, boys, and girls of diverse age, race, and faith tradition

• People who want a counselor who understands the emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual dimensions of their struggle

• The unemployed, uninsured, or those struggling to make ends meet

Pastoral Counselors

• Are affiliated with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors

• Are licensed by the state of North Carolina

• Are located in Asheville, Black Mountain, Brevard, Hendersonville, and Clyde

• Donate a percentage of their fees to help Partnership clients
